How to read this directory
The starting candidate records come from the supplied candidates.csv. “Source checked” is the snapshot’s label, dated in the supplied manifest. refresh.py checks public APIs and URLs. Source checks do not verify outcomes, run third-party projects, or establish current functionality. Imported directory summaries remain editorial context; live observations appear in the history and link checks. Source activity, successful checks and substantive changes are different dates.
Summaries describe supplied claims, not validated outcomes. Difficulty is an editorial inference from the format. Prices remain unknown without dated evidence. Alternatives share a task; inclusion is not a recommendation or a popularity rank.
Attribution & licensing policy
grokbot.dev is an independent community project. Its directory entry text is attributed to the supplied author and linked entry under CC BY 4.0, as reported in the input. We format entries, normalize task tags and occasionally shorten or rewrite summaries. Linked posts and media retain their own rights and are not reproduced.
GitHub repository licences are displayed as supplied. Public visibility is not permission to reuse content. Entries marked “No licence: linked only, no content reused” use neutral TaskToTool editorial descriptions and links only. No README text, code or images are copied. Rights and source identities need a fresh check before a live launch.
Changes & newsletter
The change log contains real source observations. Original simulated fixtures are kept privately in changes_test.json and excluded from live pages and issues. Weekly issues include meaningful changes only; the first check is a baseline. Newsletter coming soon. Signup is unavailable; no newsletter data is collected. The directory and issue archive remain freely accessible.
Commercial policy
The directory remains free. Only sponsorships, disclosed paid listings and affiliate links are possible revenue routes. There are no active commercial placements in this directory. Payment cannot buy a verification badge or an organic ranking.
